Browning Safes Unparalleled in Innovation.

By Matthew Arnold

Browning has been producing gun safes for the past 30 years. They have vastly expanded the number of models, features and colors available. Any owner can create a Browning gun safe that both fits his specific needs and offers excellent security. Currently, Browning safes come in a variety of series: The Pro Series, Sporter Series, and Tactical Mark III Series.

The New Pro Series with patent pending MAX bolts is an exceptionally secure safe. These bolts offer 12 times more surface area contact with the frame, giving them 4 times as much strength as traditional round bolts. Pinnacle and Prestige models also feature a locking mechanism that takes one-third the effort to turn than a standard safe. Pro Series safes are rich with the best Browning features.

The Sporter Series is for entry-level buyers. Sporter series safes are made from 12-gauge steal, have reinforced door frames, 1 inch locking bolts on the top and sides of the door, and a patented Force Deflector Locking Mechanisms. These combined features offer excellent security. Owners can get an optional electronic lock. Lastly, Sporter series safes include Browning's patented DPX Storage System. This greatly expands the amount and convenience of available storage space.

The Tactical Mark III (or MP) safes are available in a 23 or 33 cubic foot size with fire protection up to 1200 degrees for 45 minutes. This series is also made of 12 gauge steel. Standard length shotguns and rifles can be stowed using the DPX Storage system. Lower loops provide a convenient way to also store modern sporting arms, carbines, and tactical shotguns.

Browning has led the way in innovation. At first Browning focused on achieving optimal security. They did this through increasing rigid door construction to make the door difficult to pry or bend. They added vault type cam lock that make bolts virtually impregnable to hammering because the force goes to the cam rather than the lock. And lastly Browning has advanced fire protection by eliminating insulation gaps and multi-layering insulation.

Browning has also innovated storage capacity. The most noteworthy advancement being the DPX storage system which stands for Duo-Plus Extra storage. DPX storage allows for storing both handguns and long guns on the back of the safe door. Plus, pouches and pockets allow for storing small valuables on the back of the door with additional guns.

Another exclusive feature of Browning ProSteel safes is the new DPX Scope Saver feature which protects optics mounted on your long guns inside the space of the door. This frees up space and ensures that time invested in sighting-in a scope isn't lost.

Lastly, Browning offers one of the most versatile system of shelving, AXIS Adjustable Shelving. Traditional shelves are typically either in a fixed position or can only be moved vertically. AXIS shelves can be moved horizontally or vertically which maximizes the flexibility of the interior. AXIS adjustable shelves are available in all premium ProSteel safes. Some models can be converted to an all-shelf interior with the purchase of additional shelving.

Perhaps, now you can see why a Browning gun safe is a step ahead of nearly any other gun safe on the market. Few safes can rival Browning for both security and flexibility.
