Nike Lunarglide 4 Review

By Clark Boyd

The Lunarglide 4 is the latest from its series and you will be surprised with all its improvements and upgrades. In fact, Runner's World considered it to have the best upgrade among all running shoes in 2012. Read on below our review and product description to know more about this popular product.

Fit and Weight - These are two of the major changes that this shoe underwent. With the use of the Flywire, the upper offers a glove-like fit providing lightweight support. The threads can be adjusted at the laces for a customized fit. It weighs at least an ounce lighter than its predecessor at 9 to 10 ounces depending on the size.

Cushioning - Its removable foam insole provides a lot of underfoot cushioning, but the magic really lies on the Lunarlon mid-sole. And coupled with the Dynamic Support Platform, which is the perfect combination of soft and firm foam, you get to enjoy cushioning and stability in one. This is one of the areas that make the Lunarglide very successful and well-received by runners.

Stability - This is also one of the strongest suits for the LG4 and this is the reason why this footwear will be great for the mild to moderate over-pronators. The biggest contributor to this is once again the Dynamic Support platform which consists of foam that is positioned on a firmer foam carriage.

Breath-ability and Comfort - The Nike Lunarglide series is famous among runners for its soft ride and this running shoe is not an exemption. It features a single layer mesh upper for breath-ability and its fabric lining adds to that as well so you do not have to worry about sweat and odor. Its collar is padded just right for comfort and also prevents the heel from slipping.

Appearance - If you think that this shoe is all performance, then you should think again. You will be amazed how sporty it looks with its synthetic and mesh material and the Flywire. Check it out yourself to fully appreciate it. It comes in so many colors and available in men's and women's sizes.

Out-sole - It features an environmentally-preferred rubber out-sole which provides traction whether in wet or dry surface. The heel, which receives the most beating during a run, is improved to make it more long-lasting. The flex grooves are carefully designed to provide a smooth and natural motion.

Verdict - Overall, this product excels for its snug and ultra-soft interiors. A lot of customers are also happy because it is lightweight. The springy ride is a great factor, making it a great shoe for those who prefer the added cushion and extra protection during their runs.
