Golf is the title of a sport in which players hit balls into holes that are on an outdoor, grass course. The primary equipment that is needed: clubs and balls. There are numerous golf tricks that can be applied to help a person improve their skill at the sport.

A common mistake by amateurs comes with alignment of the body during shots. They think they have to have their shoulders parallel to the target, feet in line with it, or entire body parallel to it. These are not proper stance. Instead, players are most successful when the top of their body is parallel to the line and their bottom half is to the left of it.

Selecting the proper clubs to use is crucial. New players tend to make the mistake of choosing a club by its length. But, there is a lot more that should go into the selection process. Some of the things to consider when making a choice: hidden dangers that are in the landing areas, hazards, wind and personal shooting tendencies. Good players have knowledge of the shot that will come after, which also helps in making this decision.
