My City Trip on a Commuter Bike

By Rob Sutter

Any time my family and I would go to New York City, we would see people travel on bikes throughout parks. They got exercise in and I was always fascinated by the idea of riding amongst people in lush environments. To say that a commuter bike interested me would be an understatement and I wanted to be able to be part of this, too. I was able to convince my family and before long, we started to use these very bikes in order to get around and find exercise as well.

My mom tends to enjoy moving about at a much calmer pace and while this seemed like a problem at first, it actually worked well. Being upon a commuter bike has given me the chance to marvel at the surroundings. It was a nice afternoon, so being able to look at the environments as we moved past them was something that couldn't exactly be done behind the wheel of a car. With this in mind, I can't recommend bike authorities like Linus Bike enough to you.

The sights were nice but not without the travel and how educational it proved to be for me as well. I liked the park environment enough but seeing the litany of businesses was enjoyable, too. You can't learn everything about a location from behind the wheel of your car so being able to get out and ride provided me with some know-how. I liked being able to learn and look around but the exercise that this form of travel brought me was perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of the afternoon.

Biking is perhaps one of the more enjoyable ways to exercise and I think that the results within speak for themselves. For instance, how many people do you think use these bikes on a daily basis? I'm certain that they have jobs to go to as well. Being able to move between that area and home - and back again - requires effort. Exercise is seen here and I don't think that there's a better way of moving about and becoming trim than this very technique.

When you get down to it, I think that renting a commuter bike was great. I'd like to try it again sometime because I enjoyed the sights as much as I did picking up little facts that I might not have been able to otherwise. I'd love to be able to travel from place to place because it also gives me a form of exercise that I can't seem to find at any other point in my life. I may need to rent out another bicycle if I'm ever in the neighborhood and have that itch to ride.
