Financial Spread Betting: The Guide You Need

By Nigel Howell

Financial spread betting is something that I have been doing for a while but know that many people are new to it. It was many advantages which makes it a great way to trade. This should give you a introduction to financial spread betting. I want to present you with both sides, positives and negatives.

Believe it or not, financial spread betting has been around for a long time. It was first developed in the seventies but its usage was limited. It was formed from spread betting in sports. Because it is defined as betting it means that it is exempt from tax in the UK.

I know people that want to make money from Forex but don't know where to start. I think that financial spread betting is a great way of doing it. You are able to bet on currency movements using the same principals applied to other markets. It is a very efficient and inexpensive way of doing it.

It is great that you can bet on currencies but it gets better. There are lots of different markets for you to trade. If you prefer to trade in bonds or shares then you may. If you want to trade in sugar then you may. Better still you can do it from the same financial spread betting firm.

Before you start with financial spread betting you need to understand leverage. Using leverage can be beneficial. If it isn't used properly however then you could end up losing a lot of money. A lot of traders don't apply it correctly and make lots of mistakes. Please be aware so this won't be a problem for you.

I hope that this has given you some insights into the world of financial spread betting. I do hope that you have enjoyed reading and are more aware of the benefits and pitfalls involved. Before you start trading, make sure that you understand all the risk elements.
