Information You Should Know About Color Run Indianapolis

By Elnora H. Haag

Indianans will travel from every corner of the state to attend color run Indianapolis so they can have a memorable day, and support a local charity. If that sounds like something you might like to do, you should look into it. The following are some practical information about this kind of race.

The Color run Indianapolis is a special race that supports Special Olympics Indiana, a not-for-profit organization that provides more than 11,000 children and adult special needs athletes with year-round sports training in over 20 Olympic type sports all across Indiana. Since they get no national funding, they rely solely on donations from civic, corporate, and individual sources to fund their activities.

The race will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, where runners will weave through a 5k track that at the fairgrounds. It will start at 9am, and has no timers, leaving you plenty of time to complete the race. You should start the race wearing white, but don't worry, it won't remain that way long!

At the beginning of the race, blue, green, red, pink, and purple colors start to fly as the bomb squad bombards runners with a cloud of color. The same thing will happen at every color station positioned along sections of the track and lead up to an explosive finale at the finish line.

Anyone can enter to take part in color run Indianapolis, whether young, old, small, tall, fast, or slow. Participants 18 and under need a signed waver, but can participate and can get the race packet with a free white tee shirt and other race goodies. Kids ages 7 and under run for free with an adult, but don't get the packet tee-shirt.

Signing up for a race is easy, all you have to do is click on the register button of the color run website, enter the information, and pay. There is also a section on the form where you could donate to the selected local charity, if you want to.

Suppose you want to have a part, but do not want to really run in the race? Then you can be a member of the color bomb squad and bombard contestants when they go through color stations while they run the race. If you have friends or family who are enrolled in the race, this can be a definite advantage in your favor.

Therefore, join these 5k color run and get this show on the road. Then, before you know it, you will be spending a fun filled day you won't soon forget!
