Dealing With Things That Keeps You From Enjoying Golf

By John McGuire

Whenever people agree to complicate something that was supposed to be fun, it kills the essence of it all. That's the same thing that is happening to golf. People who are involved in the game often complicate the sport to some levels such that it becomes discouraging.

At a first glance, you should be considering every detail in the line of short game, your attitude on and off the lawn, and the percentage of success on driving in the fairway. You should look out for the regulations regarding the greens and the kind of shots a poor hitter would make. Is there a similarity between your bad shots?

The best way to make any gains out of this is to have a clear of view of everything that goes on in your game from start to finish. You should be able to point and rate how you play, win and celebrate. What is your enjoyment?

You should not do a half job on anything. You should stick to your project from the time you begin until the day you reach completion.

Every golfer has to have a target or a goal in his mind before he walks onto the grass to play his game. The good thing about having decent goals is that you will be at an advantage when planning for what effort you need to apply to get results.

One should have both long-term and short-term goals. A short-term goal will comprise a period of about two weeks and will be something specific like achieving a certain kind of swing.

You need a well spelt game plan if you want to achieve your goals. You should have as many drills as possible done daily. Know when you will do them.

You should be on schedule once you have come up with your plan. You should pick the prime conditions to play golf.
