Nintendo & Comparing Usage of City Bikes

By Rob Sutter

City bikes are, by definition, used mainly for short-paced, leisurely rides throughout an area. They aren't meant to be committed to heavily, though I can certainly see how people can become passionate about them. Having said that, they are made with a more casual audience in mind and I think that Nintendo in its current state is the same way. They can be used with the utmost passion in the right hands but overall, they are meant specifically for casual usage.

Nintendo's video games, compared to titles on other systems, feel as though they're more limited. This isn't to say they're terrible; Nintendo's games are very well-made and with nary a glitch to be seen, they are perhaps the cleanest around. It's just that they aren't quite as expansive; play a title like "Assassin's Creed 3" and then go on to play "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" and I think you'll see what I mean. Some games are simply meant to be casual and these types of bicycles are more or less the same.

Companies along the lines of Linus Bikes sells a wide assortment of bicyclings, including but not limited to vintage bicycles, containing an assorted taste. City bikes are definitely more common but it'd be a lie to say that they didn't control every bit as well. In fact, for those who find themselves traveling on level ground constantly, you will find that it's easy to move about and the ability to handle is quite simple as well. Utilizing these bikes is no challenge, nor should it really be.

When you're not having fun doing something, chances are that you're going to stop doing it and never really figure out why so many people have taken to it. That's why I've steered clear of a lot of role playing games. A lot of them simply have too much complexity for even me to sift through and I don't like having to think further than what I feel is necessary to enjoy a game. When I have to turn the game off because it's causing me mental strain, it's not a good sign.

There might be times when I don't want to put in several hours into a game and commit myself to a lengthy adventure. What's wrong with just running through a world with my only function being able to jump? Bicycles can be more of the same since there is no need to bring forth a great level of commitment, either. A lengthy bike ride is great if done but even a simple ride around the street could do wonders as well.
